Grazie Gagio, ci riporti un poco di attenzione su cosa significa il diritto di libertà, che noi diamo sempre per scontato!
Ps: una considerazione (sono la Simo): Bono ci ha sempre tenuto a specificare che mai ha voluto con quella canzone prendere una posizione a priori pro-irlanda. Quella canzone è contro ogni azione di violenta in nome di un’ideologia politica, tant’è vero che in successive occasioni, in cui l’IRA si era fatta promotrice di atti sanguinari, ha voluto ricantarla in concerto per affermare lo sgomento anche in quel caso, pur non avendo mai nascosto la sua vicinanza con le ragioni indipendentiste moderate irlandesi

Ho trovato una bella poesia per te, si intitola “Butcher’s Dozen”, di Thomas Kinsella. E’ un po’ lunga, quindi ti metto solo l’inizio, ma ti consiglio proprio di andartela a leggere…

Through Bogside of the bitter zeal–
Jesus pity!–on a day
